SA-2: EP recorded with Suspended Animators (production team ognihs and Manic Depressive). This project started out
with a track called Easter, a beat I never really got my mind around but kept working at regardless-tons of
lyrics, wordplay, and commentary about religion that was grand in scope but sorely lacking in execution. I'm indebted
to ognihs for vetoing the track.
I took the Greyhound (an all too familiar experience, perhaps I was trying to pay my dues
the Braille method, but you won’t catch me crashing in someone’s garage and using an old tin for a commode) to Santa Cruz. Upon arrival we went to the site of a church that had burned the night before and took some photos. One of those shots ended up
making the cover.
Apologies extended to ADI who had concocted a dope cover that-as I lay on
the inflatable mattress of guest in those few days-would not fit the music. Target Practice was a last-moment throw-on, I
recorded the vocals acapell and ognihs added the backdrop later.
Did I mention Manic Depressive is dope as hell?
